To all my NY GIANTS fans out there

I am sure you are sick of hearing about the NY J-E-T-S, JETS JETS JETS. NYC has two football teams and the GIANTS have been shafted this off-season. The sports commentators out there have basically ignored the team and failed to supply its diehard fans with any tidbits to look forward to this season, while the Jets are all the rage. So finally, today, we got word through ESPN of the on-goings at GIANTS training camp. So here are a few highlights to look out for:
  • Eli Manning is connecting really well with receiver Hakeem Nicks. Hopefully, that will light a fire under Steve Smith for a good battle for the position of featured receiver.
  • Its unclear whether runningback Brandon Jacobs is going to show up this season, but Ahmad Bradshaw should be strong and ready to step in as the #1.
  • The Giants cornerbacks (the guys who steal the catches from the receivers and tackle them) are lookin' gooood. Aaron Ross is a star and Thomas and Webster are playing well. (I will believe it when I see it.)
  • Defensive line is tough and even Keith Bulluck is moving around well despite coming off an injury. By the way, gotta give a shout out to the defensive coordinator, Perry Fewell, who is a vocal tackling machine - way to inspire our G-Men. We need to get back to the defense we are known for!
Don't rule out the G-MEN yet. The team has depth and is looking solid. A few injuries in Dallas may just put the NFC East in the palm of its hand.
