At a lively day yesterday at the US Open, American No. 9 seed Andy Roddick (who is most famous for marrying supermodel Brooklyn Decker) lost to Janko Tipsarevic in four sets of the second round of the tournament. Roddick went out as a sour loser calling the refs "1-800-Rent-A-Ref" for making incorrect foot fault calls (a violation when your foot crosses the baseline during a serve). Upon watching the replays, it was confirmed that Roddick did commit foot faults, but with the opposite foot of that denoted by the refs. At a press conference after the game, Roddick did admit to taking his whining too far, but that was too little too late. Roddick's character was apparent throughout the match, causing him to sacrifice his focus, and lose for the second time to Tipsarevic.

Yet, an up and coming American player, 18 year old Ryan Harrison beat No. 15 Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia to advance to the second round. If Harrison can keep it up, he will be like Miley Cyrus knocking Lindsey Lohan off her pedestal! Keep an eye out for this young buck - hopefully good things to come! /
