The NYC Marathon is taking over the Big Apple this weekend with the 26.2 mile race through the five boroughs. The event shines the biggest spotlight on distance running, but also showcases a Chilean miner, weatherman Al Roker, and chef Bobby Flay. For many New Yorkers the marathon is considered a nightmare, because of the crowds, but if you can get into the spirit of it, there will be lots of promotions, events, and parties along the course and afterwards to celebrate. Check out this
guide to the marathon for ideas on how to take part.
