Arguably the best female athlete in the modern era is Zenyatta. True, Zenyatta is a horse, but a horse with a 19-0 record. Zenyatta is racing in the Breeders' Cup today with the hope of ending her career with a 20-0 record. Zenyatta is known for her charge late in the race, ultimately leaving the competition in the dust.
Hopefully this 6 year old mare, an old lady in the horse racing community, can pull out one more win for all the single ladies out there. Because after today, she will be retired to mate and have lots of horseracing babies.
