Just want to give a shout out to my alma mater Vanderbilt for making national sports news this week. Vanderbilt, despite being a member of a top college football sports conference, the SEC, has largely struggled against its opponents in the most publicized sport of men's football. Since we rarely get noticed due to poor results, I find it to be a highlight of the week to see Vandy's football program in the news.
That being said, Vanderbilt has made the news, because the head football coach, Bobby Johnson has decided to leave his position and appointed Robbie Caldwell as the new head coach. Caldwell previously served as assistant head coach and offensive line coach.
Hopefully, this move won't further plummet Vanderbilt in the SEC football ranks.
