Lots of luck at Michigan State

Late Saturday night, Michigan State football pulled out a win at the last second against Notre Dame, with a faked field goal attempt turned into a touchdown. Michigan State had the opportunity to tie the game in overtime with a long field goal. However, instead of risking the field goal with their inexperienced kicker, the team faked the field goal and instead passed the ball to a receiver for a touchdown to win the game! And this was only the team's first piece of luck that night....

Seconds after the touchdown, the replay showed that the touchdown should not have counted, because the play started too late and Michigan State should have been penalized instead. Officials claim that the play started on time and no penalty was warranted. Regardless the officials' calls are part of the game - piece of luck number two!

Then, after winning the game on such a balsy call, Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio suffered a mild heart attack and was rushed to the hospital for surgery. Fortunatley, the most important piece of luck came third, as Dantonio is expected to have a quick and easy recovery.
